Finalmente AT&T se pone pálido y decide habilitar Facetime para todos los usuarios en iOS 6 con un equipo LTE. Esto permitirá que finalmente usuarios puedan utilizar las video llamadas sin necesidad de estar conectados a una red WiFi.
En el pasado, AT&T solo permitió usar FaceTime sobre la red celular a aquellos que se acogieron a un plan compartido de data luego de ser anunciados. Ahora AT&T suelta riendas y permitirá finalmente igualdad entre todos los usuarios que tengan un plan de data activo con sus iPhone 5, iPad 4 y el iPad Mini.
Tras la ausencia del Jailbreak en iOS 6, esto beneficiara a todos los que desean tener esta funcionalidad. La misma estará siendo implementada en las próximas 8 a 10 semanas a partir de hoy.

DALLAS, Nov. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ – AT&T* today announced it will enable FaceTime over Cellular at no extra charge for iOS 6 customers with an LTE device on any tiered data plan. AT&T will also continue to offer FaceTime over Cellular to customers with any AT&T Mobile Share plan, as well as FaceTime over Wi-Fi, which has always been available for all customers. AT&T expects to roll out this functionality to customers over the next eight to ten weeks.
As part of its commitment to serving customers with disabilities, AT&T is also making FaceTime over Cellular available to deaf and hard of hearing customers who qualify for special text and data-only packages.
