No todo recae en el Internet ni estar en el “comfort zone”. Y es por eso que ahora se presume que lo nuevo de Spotify, será su primer hardware que llegará en los próximos meses.
Aunque no hay anda en la avenida, muchos dentro de la blogosfera han notado que Spotify tiene dos convocatorias de empleo y una describe el puesto de trabajo como:
We are looking for a passionate and seasoned Senior Product Manager that will join the Platform & Partner Experience team working to build frictionless and creative Spotify experiences via fully-connected hardware devices. You will be leading an initiative to deliver hardware directly from Spotify to existing and new customers; a category defining product akin to Pebble Watch, Amazon Echo, and Snap Spectacles. You will define the product requirements for internet-connected hardware, the software that powers it, and work with suppliers/manufacturers to deliver the optimal Spotify experience to millions of users. Above all, your work will affect the way the world experiences music & talk content.
Lo que presume que Spotify estará trabajando en un tipo de wearable capaz de transmitir música a través de su servicio, atado donde los wearable han tenido éxito y es de apelar a los deportistas o personas que tienen rutinas de ejercicio.
Además del wearable, puede que el mismo sea potenciado por su propio asistente digital y esta teoría e puede sacar de esta otra convocatoria:
Spotify is looking for a Product Manager to the Platform & Partner Experience tribe. Our tribe is responsible for all Spotify consumer experiences outside of Spotify’s core iOS and Android applications. We focus on areas like desktop, TVs, speakers, cars, wearables, headphones and partner application integrations to make Spotify available wherever our users are.
Voice is quickly becoming a key interaction mechanism for control of digital devices and services. As a Product Owner for voice you will be responsible for the strategy and execution of Spotify’s voice efforts beyond our core apps. You will be working closely with our User Interaction team and Product Managers for applicable platforms to ensure they are voice enabled in a consistent way to the benefit of our end users. You will also be working with the major external platform providers within the voice space to ensure a superior Spotify experience on those platforms. Aspects to be considered in this role include voice input and feedback, content resolution, technology choices, and data protection.
Es evidente que Spotify necesita mucha mayor diferenciación tomando en cuenta que Apple sigue apelando a contenido original para Apple Music y Pandora busca un segundo aire con su servicio pagado y la lógica dentro de todo es, lanzar algo que la competencia aún no tiene (sin contar el Apple Watch claro está).
Apenas las convocatorias están y hasta que nadie esté abordo en la empresa, me lleva a pensar que será entre 2018 a 2019 que estaremos viendo el producto de estas contrataciones, así que pueden sentarse cómodo a esperar.
