La espera ha terminado o al menos para que la asiática ASUS confirmara que está ya a la vuelta de la esquina su primera generación de Netbooks Chromebook con Chrome OS de Google.

Looks small, thinks big
ASUS Chromebook has an impressively compact chassis that measures just 20mm thick, making it supremely portable. The stylish and attractive design has a hidden screen hinge that gives it a sleek look, and the durable black matte finish gives Chromebook a luxurious and sophisticated feel. Chromebook C300 is also available in a choice of three additional stunning statement colors — red, yellow and blue — that make it a perfect match for any lifestyle.
A unique extra-spacious touchpad — comparable in size to those normally found on 14-inch laptops, and the largest in its class — with multi-finger gesture support makes ASUS Chromebook incredibly comfortable and intuitive to use. The full-size one-piece seamless chiclet keyboard is engineered with a high-quality mechanism for a solid feel with a responsive and accurate action.

Como era de esperarse, ASUS reclama que el C200 es de 12 pulgadas, aunque gente que ya tiene el C200 desmintieron la información y que el tamaño de la pantalla es realmente 11.6, asi que desconocemos la necesidad de ASUS redondear el tamaño de la pantalla, pero no obstante, el C300 si es de 13 pulgadas como se había confirmado.
Ambos modelos traen la nueva generación de procesadores Bray Trail-M de Intel con los que se garantizará la mejor experiencia de consumo de energía que permitirá hasta 11 horas de uso normal y 100 GB por dos años para Google Drive.
Todavía no se ha confirmado si el RAM de 4GB será en efecto real para la versión pública del C300 o quedará exclusivo de la versión educativa del Chromebook, pero lo cierto es que el mes que viene se empezará a vender masivamente.
